Symptom:
When defining identification definitions, signature fields and placeholders (i.e. all settings that read and display the document content), not all letters are displayed.
For example, the document contains #UnterschriftSteuerpflichtiger#, but only #Unterschri Steuerpflich ger# is read and displayed when defining the above settings.
Cause:
The problem is the ligatures like ft or ti that follow each other in certain fonts.
Solution:
If the document is printed from Word via the signotec PDF Creator, there is the option Ligatures under Font > Advanced, which must be set to None. Then confirm with OK and print the document again.
